New Member With Problems

Hello everybody. Why did I join. Well I am a big fan of GM trucks but am currently frustrated. My speed odometer is not working, my heater only put out heat when I set it to 90 deg, and now when I hook up a trailer my right stop on the trailer does not work ( turn signal does). Wife thinks that when I replace my truck I should go with tundra. Hoping to find solutions to my problem here.

You have the 7 pin trailer connector? Sounds like that's a trailer issue as the wiring diagrams show no seperate brake light wires. http://www.etrailer.com/faq-wiring.aspx So possibly a bad wire or bulb on the trailer. Would check that before trading for a Tundra.

 

I think there have been a few with the speedometer not working, the stepper motor went out, I think there might even be a TSB for that and a warranty extension.

I would also check the trailer plug on the truck.....if you live in an area that loves to use lots of rock salt in the winter, that will get corroded and will need to be replaced (or cleaned really good).
