Gduck24 Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 I am installing a level lift this weekend. It is the spacer up top. The ready lift looks like its the same spacer up top, and the lower is just a plate. Does anyone see why i couldn't cut my own lower spacer? Does anybody have dimensions on this peice? Would the dimensions be critical? Seems like you could almost use washers to do this. I dont have access to a machine shop but, i can cut a 3/8 plate of steel for this application.
ryan_hermanutz Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 You seriously want to stack washers on your 30+K truck? If you don't have the proper tools don't even try to do the job. Edit: I fixed my spelling errors
asilverblazer Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 I dont see a reason why one couldn't cut their own out of some thick stock, I wouldn't use washers. You will also need some longer bolts. I would definately look at some lower spacers before proceeding.

I'm not considering that. I'm just saying its the same principle. These level lift kits look like a peice of plate aluminum, with no alignment markings or adjustments. I have plenty of plate around, and dont think buying it pre-cut is worth $50.

Gduck24 Posted October 16, 2009 Author Posted October 16, 2009 I saw that, and pm'd the guy for a picture that i can read the dimensions, but haven't received a response. He also said he had to do some extra grinding to the piece.
