Traction Control Light

Does that traction control light have to come on everytime a wheel slips. Heck, we got a half inch of slush here and the wheels may slip a small amount on take off but who cares, I don't need something flashing everytime a wheel slips a half a turn. Other than pulling the bulb, is there anyway to disable this light.

Turn the traction control off if you can. Although if its like my car you will just have a stupid light telling you that the traction control is turned off!

A freind of mine has an 09 Sierra and told me his light comes on all the time also even when in 4 wheel drive. I don't know who thought of is but it was a bad idea. if it's operating as it should, don't give me a idiot light to tell me it's doing so. Warning light should only tell me I switched traction contol off.

What is sad is that they can put a light in there for Traction Control, yet they can't put in a 4WD indicator light, they just want you to rely on that little pin tip sized light that's in the 4WD selector knob that no one can see. You would think GM would have fixed this after 3 years of the GMT-900 being out but Noooooooooooo

Bottom line is, if I'm on ice, in snow or mud, I know the wheels will slip and I shur do not need my vehicle to tell me that. What the heck did I do for the last 30 years of driving, oh yeah, Fish Tails and slide around turns.
