I have a 2000 Silverado that I'm having heater issues with. My fan seems to be working fine, but I'm getting real poor air flow out of the vents, especially the floor...help?

Do all your fan speeds work? Can you hear the fan noise change with each fan setting?Does it switch from floor to vents when you change it? Same airflow with heat and ac? Does the temp change when you change the setting? Could be as simple as blockage, bad actuator in the HVAC (temp door blend and floor/vent blend).

All of my fan speeds work; I can tell that the air flow is transferring from vent to floor, to defrost, top blend, etc...As I mentioned before, I just have very little air flow coming out. When the floor heater vents are selected I can barely feel any air, but I can hear the fan working fine...

I had the same problem. There is a filter located in the duct-work above the passenger's feet. You can see a slot where the filter is installed. I replaced mine, it was really dusty and it resulted in a tremendous increase in air flow.

Good call. Some have cabin filters and some do not. Minor pain in the ass to change. WHen I first changed them on my 01 Tahoe, they were black and caked with crap.

Did the original poster get this problem resolved? My 2001 is doing the same thing. I have run through the re boot procedure and there are new cabin air filters installed. The mode control seems to be fine. It will switch from defrost to vent to floor, but has very poor air flow in all positions. And yes my fan works on all speeds. What is limiting my air flow?

I'm having the same issues and have went through all of those steps. I'm now thinking of removing the cowling to see if I have debris trapped that could be slowing the air flow. :D
