Timing Bypass Wire Location

Question

I'm sure this has come up in a couple of threads and I've looked through them but since I cannot find what I'm looking for:

I'm looking for the timing bypass of more exact the esc bypass wire location for my truck: 1993 K-1500 Z-71 w/5.7 automatic trans.

Pictures and or diagram please. A simple index with answers for most years would be great I'm sure.

Usually held in the fuseable link box on the passenger side fire wall. Its generally light brown in color and has a black connector that you can pull apart.

Its the wire that comes out of the 2nd pin of the 4 wire connector on the IGN module....I'll see if I can find a pic.

Well...that was quick...LOL

I thought that the wire described had to be one that used a connector as the others were terminated at the block/firewall. Too dark to play tonight but will check Thurs morning.

Thanks for quick response!

Like I said...it should be light brown...tan...brown white...something of that nature....different years have slightly different colors.

Also,if it's not there it will be inside below the glove box(where mine is,'95).It's light brown with a black stripe.Very easy to get to

Thanks to all. I found wire just outside the black box cover. Had a weather pack connector. Man was that timing way off. Must have been retarded 15 degrees. Again, thanks.
