Switching Bench Seat To Buckets.

I'm picking up my new truck tomorrow (2009 GMC 1500 Crew Cab SLE). Only problem is that it has a bench seat and not buckets with a center console. My question is can I remove the center portion of the bench and add a factory center console. Or will I need to purchase buckets seats AND a center console from ebay or salvage yard ext.... Thanks!

Yes you can but my gosh are people charging an arm and a leg for them! I like my center seat better because the storage in the top and bottom can hold more crap than the center console.

Yes you can but my gosh are people charging an arm and a leg for them! I like my center seat better because the storage in the top and bottom can hold more crap than the center console.

 

So I can remove the center seat/arm rest and install a factory center console and it would virtually be the same as buying bucket seats and a center console?

I was watching one on ebay about a month ago and it went for about $250 plus shipping. I know if you were to piece one together from gmpartsdirect.com it would be close to $800.

Very easy, I did it myself and it looks great. I dont store much in my truck so I was not worried about the storage. I just like the look of the full console.
