Eletrical Question

Recenlty experienced electrical problem where driver side windows and power door locks will not operate. Passenger side windows operate okay, however, only when using passenger side door switches. Power locks do not operate from any switch. I cannot locate a fuse for the power windows at the fuse block and the power door lock fuse (20a) is good. The owners manual has a small blurb on power windows which states: "Circuit breakers protect the power windows and other power accessories. When the current load is too heavy, the circuit breaker opens and closes, protecting the circuit until the problem is fixed or goes away." I'm not sure where to find this "circuit breaker" nor do I know if this can be reset or must be replaced. Any help appreciated.

If it's anything like the current trucks, it's a circuit breaker and it's auto resetting; doesn't mean it can't fail open. Look in the manual for the fuses under the dash. That's where the circuit breakers are for the current trucks, I believe they are replaceable.

I can't give any advice on your issue, they seem to keep some things in the same locations so hopefully you can find the breaker if it truely is bad.

Thanks, found the pwr/wndw circuit breaker (fuse block in enging compartment on 2005 Colorado). What a difference a day makes - It was right where I was looking yesterday, just didint' see it. What confuses me, is that only the driver side window and power locks are effected. I'll test the circuit breaker and pwr/lock fuse. Hope that's it...

The driver door module is the only common point. I can't really tell from the post, did the window and lock not work at one time but now they work? If so the module probably had a logic lock up.
