How far do you drive to work each day? (How many miles and how long does it take you each way) Is your truck your daily commuter vehicle?

7.5 miles one way, takes about fifteen minutes to drive because of all the traffic lights (OKC has a LOT).

 

Daily driver, only driver, at least until I can afford the motorcycle I want.

During the summer I was driving 45 miles each way. Took me a little under an hour in the morning, but anyone who lives near Chicago can tell you that the Dan Ryan and the Kennedy around 4 p.m. are an absolute nightmare. It was a solid 2 hour drive home.

 

And yes, I did that in the truck in my sig. It SUCKED. The only good part was that nobody tries to cut you off, and most people see the turn signal and get out of the way. Lol

Now: 16 miles each way, about 25 minutes in the morning and 30-40 minutes in the evening in my truck.

 

Two years ago: 12 miles each way, about 30 minutes in the morning and 45 minutes to 1 hour+ home in my truck, though I started with the old Nissan. Fun DC traffic.

 

Six years ago: 45 miles each way, 45 minutes to an hour each way. Much more fun rural Kentucky traffic.

About 3.5-4 miles to work. Takes about 5-10 min. No highway driving required.

I dont miss illinois traffic

 

For me its 26 miles (well now it is more since I have to pick up my son fram daycare after work) round trip. Going to work its max 20 min and coming home its anywhere from 25-55 mins depending on the weather.

Hell, those are bicycle commutes. I seriously considered making the DC commute via bike. Had I re-upped for Hawaii like I wanted I was planning on finding a house close enough to do so as well. Keep in shape, save money and have a chance to meet girls = win-win-win.

I know It doesn't get much better than that. If I didn't go anywhere else I could probably go without buying gas for a month! lol
