Bowtie Hate?

Just curious if the Ford boys are as anti blue oval as some people here seem to be anti gold bowtie. To me it is like getting a john deere and painting it a different color...LOL

Do you walk around with a name tag on all day? If you don't, does it make you less you?

It's all about customization. I don't hate the gold bowtie, but it stands out like a sore thumb especially on the GMT900 trucks. It's HUGE ("That's what she said :uhoh: )

John Deere green is the best looking green ever! Comparing it to a big gaudy gold bowtie is apples and oranges.

Nothing wrong with customization, unless you just want to blend into the masses with all the soccer moms. Not everyone wants a big piece of yellow piece of plastic on their trucks when a billet or body colored alternative is available.

LOL

I mean no harm in my question. I am just curious if ford guys paint their ovals? That would be funny if so. To me that would be the equivalent of just putting random geometric shapes on your rig. Like why not put a black triangle on your grill or a white rectangle on your tailgate.

I painted the front bowtie on my avalanche black to match the truck. I get why people do it. It just seems like there is an unusual dislike to the branding on the Chevy trucks. Personally I am kind of proud of my gold bowties. I messed the one up on my tailgate with a pressure washer. After days of mental debate I decided to let them fix it under warranty versus just removing it. I think the tailgates look too plain without them. Plus it is one of the many things that seperate it from a GMC. Not that I think any one is better but I have my styling preferences.

BTW I think Dodge has the coolest logo...Flame on.

If the blue oval did not have writing in the center of it, aka FORD, they would be color matching or buying billet for their trucks. We can do it because it does not cover up the name of the company, whether GMC or Bowtie.

I have seen a red Ford oval on a Super Duty. Looked it up online and it seems to be a somewhat popular mod. It definitely made the truck stand out, for being such a small emblem. My F-250 doesn't have any ovals at all, just a big F R D across the front of the hood, the O fell off. :)
