Mystery Leak....name That Fluid?!?

This weekend when at my camp I noticed a strange leak under my truck. It may or may not be new as I normally park on pavement and would not have noticed it had I not been parking in the snow. The fluid was yellowish in the snow and landing right under the O2 sensor after the cat on the drivers side. It didn't appear to be coolant, power steering fluid or trans oil. All levels of those fluids were at norms and colors didn't match. No alerts on the DIC and everything seems to be running fine.

Sooooo anyone have any ideas? 2008 Sierra w/4x4. Probably going to call dealership in the morning but since its so slow and small I'd like to have a better idea of what is going on before I trust them....

well, I would crawl under and inspect further and trace it to the source

Me and two others tried that, so much moisture on everything couldn't see anything damming. Theres nothing on / around it that it appears to be coming from. (thats why I though figuring out what fluid it is would be helpful)

Could be brake fluid.

Opened the brake booster and the fluid was pretty clear, didn't appear to match.

i think antifreeze is orange nowadays.. that could be your yellow-looking fluid.

dont know how it could be around an o2 sensor.. especially after the cat.

it could be condensation dripping around an exhaust gasket or something.

Maybe somebody peed under your truck. That causes yellow snow

maybe there was a squirrel sitting on his exhaust.. burned itself and then pissed itself.

LOL moved the truck three times and it was there the next morning every time. If it was a squirrel I must have really made it mad!

We though it was coolant initially but opened the coolant bottle and after looking it was real orange. The leak was much more squirrel pee looking.

ive had this happen to 3 of my newer Gm vehicles.....it looked like yellow antifreeze but my antifreeze was orange.....the spots on the ground in the snow were where no lines were

had my mechanic look at it and it was coming from the exhaust pipe

Did it end up being antifreez or was it something else?

it wasnt any leaks from the truck......think its a reaction with the salt, moisture and the exhaust pipe

my neighbours car does this as well

You know never to eat or test taste the yellow snow right??

Could be rust water... Edgewise, I have no clue.

So far the rust / reaction idea makes the most sense. The drive to camp is about 4hrs and there was plenty of salt on the road Friday on the way up. And it would explain why there is no fluid in the truck that matches what is on the ground.
