$ 60k+ Tahoe?

I just saw a new 2010 Tahoe LTZ 4X4 on eBay, all options, MSRP of $ 60,400!!!!!!!! Holy smoke!!!!!!!! Has GM gone crazy? This thing did not even have the 6.2 V8, only the 5.3 engine.

An equivalent 1500 Suburban LTZ 4X4 must be even higher priced.

You can't even get the 6.2 in a Tahoe/Burban.... 4.8 or 5.3 are the only choices (might even be just 5.3 now).

As for the price hike, $60K really is a bit ridiculous. If it were one of the hybrids I'd understand a bit more but damn....

I thought 6.2L was a dealer option.

From what I understand, the dealer can install any crate engine you want into a vehicle and cover it under warranty so long as it fits without modification.... but I just meant that you can't order a Tahoe from the factory with the 6.2L in it.

What's odd is that I'm almost certain the 6.2l was an option on 2009 Tahoes but I don't see it as an option on the 2010s. Maybe this is our first taste of the increased CAFE requirements.

Truck Trend did a 'tour' drive the issue before last in which they visited some ski resort in Minnesota. They were in a 2009 or 2010 Tahoe LTZ with the 6.2 and had rave reviews of the engine.

haven't looked but i would assume that a caddy ext has to be approaching the 100K mark then???

Sorry meant the ESV, looked on caddy's website 88,000 for the esv and 84,000 for the standard!!!!

Scary, considering I bought my '06 Z71 Tahoe NEW for low $30s (loaded with every option except NAV and 4WD). Even came with a full-time V8!

I've been looking for a new vehicle for the other half. Looks like Yukon Denali can have the 6.2L but not for the Tahoe or Yukon. Either way. I am not going to be purchasing a AFM.... SOOO, look out Ford Dealer here I come to buy a 8 shot plug shooter... Fully Loaded Expedition EL's are like 50k msrp...... Where's the other 10k at for the Tahoe and Yukon, plus no lifter problems, and plus no 1qt every 3k habit most afms have???

Go ahead and flame me about the Ford...... I am still driven my GMC AND LOVING IT....

Where exactly are you getting this information from? The loudmouths on this forum who have blown the problem WAY out of proportion and brainwashed countless dozens with their propagandist whining?

If "MOST" Gen-IV 5.3L and 6.0L engines had that problem, GM wouldn't be selling the number of these trucks as they do, and you'd be hearing about it more in the mainstream media.

I've had three "AFM" equipped engines, and not one of them has used a single drop of oil. EVER.
