hello everyone.

I'm currently looking to purchase a 2010 GMG Sierra 1500 reg cab 4x4 with the 8ft bed. I'm looking for any and all information on GM trucks.

I've been an import owner to date. 1991 Honda Accord and currently 2003 Acura TL-S A-SPEC. The TL suffers from a weak transmission, built by GM. I'm hoping the truck line is much stronger.

I'm leaning towards the GMC over Chevy. I like the front grill better, I can't find any other differences.

I probably wont be pulling a trailer but I think i'm going for the tow package just in case. I'll probably be doing a good amount of highway driving, what gear ratio should I opt for?

Welcome. 3.73 gears tend to offer a good blend of ability and reasonable mileage. I don't know if they're available in what you're looking at or not off-hand.
