dont know many people running this kit... but the rancho is a quality / trouble free kit that you might want to consider.

the price for the CST is hard to swallow and is very similar in design to the Rancho (one piece subframe spindle lift). The cst does come with better upper balljoints... but is nearly $2400 with rear shocks; for that price it really should come with high quality coil bodies as opposed to spacers IMO...

did Rancho ever solve the problem with the stabilitrac? i read people were having issues at full lock with the stabilitrac acting up... cst claims to be completely stabilitrac friendly

Theres only one member that i recall having that issue...and im not fully on board thats its only due to the rancho kit since a lot of others are running the same kit with no problem. Not to mention the cause of the issue would be the increase in track width... so id expect to see this issue arise with other knuckle kits, especially on trucks with low backspace wheels....

the one hesitation that i have with cst (other than price since they use spacers) is that it looks like they resolve the stabilitrac concern by maintaining the stock track width... but to achieve this they needed to use shorter knuckles which subsequently result in steep UCA angles (thus it comes with the high mis-aligned balljoint/control arm kit). as a mech-e, i have an issue with altering the relative angles of the UCA and LCA since their lengths and angles are designed to function together..... so how does the camber change with suspesnion compression/extension with the CST kit compared to stock? how does this affect handling on or off road? it may not be an issue at all... but until i see their camber data its a major setback to me. i know what goes into suspension design and optimization and am a big advocate of retaining OEM geometry & relativity between components. (ive never been a fan of any kit, lift or level, that changes the length or angle of the UCA)

With that said... theres the possibilty that cst made the camber change/fluctuation better for lifted trucks: but if this was the case id expect them to be advertising that aspect... whereas other kits advertise their retention of OEM geometry..

thanks matt, i will take that into consideration. Ive never lifted a IFS truck before and im trying not level exatcly because of the reasons you mentioned.

My last truck was an 08 ram and i leveled it but the angles were not nearly as steep as the gm angles seem to be with leveling kits. it ran for 30k miles without issue and i got rid of it.
