Congrats on the truck.

BUT, first and most important...crawl under the truck, and inspect where the transmission meets the engine block.

If you have NO traces of a fluid leak...awesome.

If you have traces of a RED fluid leak, your torque converter seal is blown out and leaking TRANS fluid

If you have traces of a BROWN fluid leak, your rear main oil seal is blown out and leaking ENGINE OIL

Both are covered under Powertrain 5yr-100k mile.

the '07 model was SO popular for these leaks...just take a look. I'm not trying to spoil your day...just pass along some info...

I cant believe how smooth the ride is!!!!!! Love it

Yeah, they have really improved the ride on the GMT-900. People get in my truck all the time and comment how smooth it is for a truck.

Congrats on the purchase!!!

Great Thanks so much for the info.

The first thing I did when I got home with it was change the oil and filter.

I did not notice any major leaks, although I did see a drop or to of oil around that area, I cleaned the area up around the oil plug and filter,so I will be checking on it.

I will contact the dealer and make a appt. if I notice more.

The truck has 41K on it.

Thanks for all the replys!!!!

Welcome & nice truck! I too am with you on how nice these trucks ride. Got rid of my 07 Tundra for my 08 GMC and it's night and day difference in ride quality!

Now it's time to start the modding!

Noticed traces of fluid near the oil filter area brought the truck in today turned out it was the torque converter seal leaking.

Fully covered by warranty no cost to me.I believe the cost for GM is $750.00

Great service from Donnely's in Ottawa.
