I've got an '06 5.3L with stock 4.10's(?), and was wondering what are some basic to-do mods? I was looking for an intake, cam, exhaust, headers, and possibly heads? This will happen allllll at once, so it'll need to definitely be tuned. What's this black bear(?) tune yall speak of? Any help in the right direction will greatly be appreciated!!

I have been hearing comp cams is the shit for cams for the 5.3. But SLP is also nice. http://www.slponline.com/browse_list.asp

 

 

You have the L33 heads if I am not mistaken...which is the upgrade for other 5.3L engines.

 

Exhaust...if your looking for low end gains go with a 3" full length single pipe. Headers I would say pacesetter ceramic are the best bang for the buck.

As for muffler, what ever you like...there's as many opinions for the "best" muffler as there are mufflers.

Intake...I have heard Volant is nice for fit and finish...but I think they all do nothing but make noise anyway....

You Might want to check out Banks as well, they make headers exhaust and cold air intake
