08-present Sierra All Terrain Club

Well I searched the site and couldnt find any club that would fit what the title suggests. So I figure since we have the "blue, red, black, etc" truck clubs, why not start a new club for all 08-Present Sierra All Terrain Pkg owners on the site. Figure we could have our own thread in which we can discuss any matters related to our rig's.

Took off the GMC emblem today to paint it black to match the trucks color. This is how the grill looks like with out the emblem... what do you guys think? Doesnt look too bad, kind of blends in with the rest of the chrome on the grill, but could look better if the holes werent present. Either way, the emblem is going back on tomorrow after letting it set to dry overnight, just wanted to post a few pictures to see what you guys thought about it with out it.

Looks good but looks kinda not right at the same time. It looks, i dunno what the best word to say....cheap? To me if i saw it I would prolly say...That just doesnt look right, I wonder why. Then once I mosied on over it would be easy to tell what happened. I am sure theres gotta be a better way to fill that in.

'08 All Terrain owner here. Silver Birch.

Haven't modified a thing save for adding a tonneau and getting slightly bigger tires (Destination AT 275/65r18 LT) when the oem Duelers wore out. I'm a big fan of the five star wheels.

 

Problems? Couple of bad door locks and I got the fuel tank vent solenoid code once. Nothing uncommon or too terrible.

 

Built in Canada.

 

Are they all crew cabs?

Sometimes I wish the bed was a 6.5'. I live in the city, though, so much longer and I'd be going nuts trying to park this boat.

This was made using an extra All Terrain fender badge (sourced from the dealer parts department) which was applied to the face of a "GMC" hitch plug purchased from Amazon.com.

Pretty nice fabrication there.... here is a Z71 sticker I would prefer to have on mine that I made some changes too if I could find a shop that specializes in vehicle decals to make them for me/

09 black ecrb 6.0l all terrain. No problems after about 1 year of owning it. Minor mods of a Airraid intake, Predator programmer and a Gibson catback on order waiting to be shipped.

09 all terrain in silver birch, only mod is my pin stripes that are a close match to the red in the z71 and all terrain badges. i love the hitch cover, may have to make myself one like that. I also know of a place that can print the z71 stickers, they put my stripes on, i can check on prices if anyone is interested.

The coolest club going! '09 Black on black w/ the 5.3. A pig on fuel and leaking a bit of oil, but I aint complaining. Love the look of my GAT. Neato hitch plug Charlie, thought that was pretty cool when I had first seen it.

I would have been riding in a Dark gray all terrian sierra but the dealer wouldn't come off that extra 1k. Even offering to pay them cash ON THE SPOT! So I'm riding in the non all terrain. I still get a little jealous when I see one

I definitely like the stance of your GAT, Ted. My 2" RC kit is still sitting on the shelf waiting to be installed; I really need to get around to that one of these days.

 

Right now I'm kind of debating the next mod for mine appearance-wise; I'm thinking about trying to get one of the 2011 Sierra HD hoods for it once they become available. The body lines are a bit different and it has that "power bulge" in the middle where the indent is on the current trucks. Wonder how that would look.... might have to add the coin slot bumper too for it to look right.

 

 

Oh, and I think I'll pass on the Z71 decals; it already says "All Terrain" on the sides; having it twice would be redundant overkill IMHO.
