Does anybody know if the 6.0L engines were paired with the 4L60 or the 4L80? my window sticker says it has a 9.5" rear end(sounds bigger than standard) but doesn't say anything about the tranny. Curious because my dad has a 01' C3 and I'm pretty sure that came with the bigger tranny & running gear.

Joining the club. 2010 SLT All Terrain. 5.3L, Carbon Black w/ 2 tone ebony. Only mod so far is relpaced the stock muffler with a magnaflow and added a polished stainless tip.

Hey guys, guess what? I did another beach trip to Fort Fisher, North Carolina in which we used the 4x4 beach trail to get to the water. I took a few snap shots of our parking spot, I did come close to getting stuck, but was able to stop and dig myself out before digging myself further into the sand. I did let air out of my tires, normally I run 40 PSI but air them downed to 30 PSI. Overall the truck did good, just dissapointed at myself for almost getting stuck, wont happen again though, here are some of the shots.

 

First shot backed out of the hole I was starting to create.

 

 

 

The tide is starting to rise and how close I got to the water, the water never touched the truck.

 

Overall this the was second time I took the truck to the same exact beach and had blast. Wife just doesnt like the bouncing up and down on the trail you must take to get to the water.

Next time you might want to air down even further; most people I've talked to who take vehicles out to the sand dunes here in MI say they go as low as 15-20psi if they need to dig into loose sand. That should let the additional tread blocks on your sidewalls do their job.

Cool! Lesson learned and will apply on the next trip. I am getting ready to go wash it in 10 minutes, have to blast all that sand and salt off it.

hello , i am new to the all terrain club. 2010 carbon black, 6.2 vortec.

so far only cosmetic mods, nerf bars, bed rails and exaust tip.

i have some boston pro 60's and alpine 4 channel amp i am going

to add to the stock head unit when i get a free weekend.

I recently purchased mine . 2010 gmc all terrain storm gray metallic extended cab . Installed ventvisors ,factory 6 inch step bars,bug shield ,swapped my tool box from my 05 2500 hd. I have an rc leveling kit on the way,volant air intake also, debating putting an exhaust on it.

had gibson and volant on my 6.0 and loved it. Absolutley love the truck but would have to admit I still miss my hd the better fuel mileage of this truck makes me remember why i didn't get another hd though. I am hoping with the leveling kit and volant I won't miss my last truck at all.

Well from what I'm reading most everyone here has SLTs and vortec max.. so I don't suppose I fit with my puny SLE and 5.3. In fact.. I've NEVER seen a vortec max at a dealer.. only seen one on the road.

 

so.. if this is the vortec max SLT only all terrain club then I'm out..

dark fox ,mine is a 5.3 sle

and my dealer had to locate it 200 miles away. there were none in my area. I have still yet to see another all terrain beside mine
