Well from what I'm reading most everyone here has SLTs and vortec max.. so I don't suppose I fit with my puny SLE and 5.3. In fact.. I've NEVER seen a vortec max at a dealer.. only seen one on the road.

so.. if this is the vortec max SLT only all terrain club then I'm out..

otherwise..

2010 summit white X cab SWB all terrain here.

Don't know what's different.. I like my truck though.

Darkfox... you arent the only one with a 5.3, I am running 5.3 with SLT pkg, there is also quite a few more on here too.

I'm thinking the 2010's there are gonna be a lot more then 08 and 09  . Dealer I got mine from had about 10 other all terrain's on the lot.

Not a very big dealer either.

Entirely possible. I think as more and more people find out about the All Terrain package and see them running around out there, more people are interested and will buy them.

Regardless, there will only ever be a total of 8,239 real All Terrain trucks out there with the original style wheels instead of the ones with the glued-on plastic covers. That in and of itself makes the '08-09 more rare and probably more desirable in the long run :)

Not that the 2010 ones aren't real or desirable, but I think you get my point.

Point taken. I would prefer a polished alu. rim, but if it has to be chrome I like the plastic glue on cover. Reason. I'm on the coast of FL. and I don't care what you do, chrome rims rust. Don't have to worry about that with the plastic. Plus, if they sell the clad covers I would hope they would be alot cheaper to replace if you get curb rash.

Alright guys, here it goes. Rather than create a whole entire new thread on this subject, I am just going to ask in here. As always I did search and couldn't find an exactly what I am wanting to do. Yeah probably didnt search hard enough either, but the thing is I want to go bigger tires. I figure since I am going to have to re-gear in the future, before I do it, I want to go big. Looking to run 37" tires, but I already know that a 6" lift wont clear 37s without serious trimming on metal which there isnt anyway I plan on doing. Now i've read that you can go 6" suspension plus 3" body lift but I dont know much about body lift aside from what i've seen here read little about. The thing is rather than runnig a body lift, could I run a leveling kit with a lift kit and still get the same clearing height I would get if I ran a body lift? If it is possible, what about the rear; I am going to assume that the front will ride higher than the rear and have that sagging a$$ affect. What could be done to level the rear with the front if possible route is pursued?

The main problem with trying to stack leveling and lift kits is that by making that much change in suspension only without using parts specifically designed for the amount of lift you're after, you're severely altering the pinion angles of the driveline and just asking for issues with binding, among other things.

Honestly I think your best bet probably would to be putting some time into researching the body lift option.

Charlie I can always rely on you to give me a good response! Thanks bud, never did think about that, but you make a good point. Well it seems like body lift is the route I will have to go, and now my other question is this: do they make any kind of wheel well liners that you can put in place to cover up all the gaps?

I wish to welcome myself to your club. I recently traded up to a 2011 GMC All-Terrain. I don't have any pictures yet but I'll post them later. My previous 2007 GMC is pictured. It only had 13631 miles when I traded it. Somebody will get a good truck there. My 2011 is storm gray, 5.3 FFV, with sun roof. I thought the sun roof in a glamourous truck trim was neat. My truck is the extended cab. I didn't think an extended cab was worth it but my wife needed it for lockable storage when shopping. I had the Line-X sprayed on in the rear bed and rails. I ordered GMC all weather floor mats so as not to ruin the embroidered ones with our winters. Although it has a locable tailgate, I'm getting a tailgate hinge lock and wheel locks. That's the end of the mods. The All-Terrain option with the leather seats was particularly attractive. The 2007 seats in my regular cab were lint magnets.

New to the forum here guys. About 1 month ago I purchased a 2010 GMC Sierra All Terrain. Carbon black crew cab w/ ebony leather. This is my first truck and so far I am loving driving it up here in Canada.

Hey Group. I thought some of you who have purchased the All-Terrain would appreciate embroidered headrests for your truck. You can't get more exclusive than embroidered headrests. An associate I made contact with in the CTS-V Cadillac website embroidered the V logo into my wife's headrests for her Cadillac and she really likes them. I took the pictures of the All-Terrain logo on my truck and he copied it into digital artwork. It takes some doing and a little work but the end result is very good. Attached are the finished pictures. What it takes is for the owner to remove the headrest covers and send them to him for stitching. The logo is not a patch that is attached to the leather but rather sewn on and is stitched into the leather. You can Pm me for more information.

Great idea for this club!

Bought a 2010 SLE All Terrain about 2 wks. ago, Stealth Gray. Never heard about the AT until I ran across one when shopping for replacement for my '02 Sierra (which got totaled sitting in front of my house). Thought I wanted another black truck and found an Onyx one about 60 mi. away. Fell in love with the Stealth Gray and when I went to that dealer it was sold. :tear: Went to my regular dealership and they found a Stealth Gray one about 150 or so miles away. Came with a little more than I wanted but . . .

No mods yet, 'cept the wheel liners came in today, so I'll install tomorrow. Also got the console organizer; pretty cool.

Will try to get some pics up soon.

Some All-Terrain owners have contacted me about how to disassemble the headrests to remove and re-install the embroidered headrests. The front headrests are large and require more effort to stuff the foam back into them. Each foam headrest has a thin plastic baggie on it from the factory. You need this plastic to provide less friction when sliding the foam back in. Mine ripped, so I wrapped plastic grocery bags on mine and taped them with clear packaging tape. The back headrests are very easy to install the foam. The fronts challenging. The wife and I, with a couple beers to our side, worked in tandem to install the front foam to the side of the front headrest cover. I then squeezed the foam with my hands while working it over the opposite end of the headrest. The wife stretched the cover while I compressed the foam. Each headrest took about ten minutes. The end result was fabulous. I had done this procedure before with embroidered headrest for the wife's CTS-V.

The link below is from the CTS-V Forum which provides a pictorial of how to remove your headrests and re-install the foam and new leather covers.
