Opposite Of Debadging...

I have a friend who has a V-6 Mustang and he put a 280 badge on, because he wanted people to know it was a V-6 thats a sleeper.... and of course our Vortex 6.0 and 6.2 come badged and you see the Titan 5.6 badge... and Jeeps have their liter displacements badged also. So would anywere here put a factory looking 5.3 badge on their truck?

I have actually considered buying the old style "327" emblems with the crossed flags. I think that would look cool. But then I'd be showing my age!! :shakehead:

Yes thats nice, just like when people had the 454 SS's, people knew right away you had a light aluminum 454 engine, and your truck was quick and hella fast. I don't mind displacement badging; when it's done in good taste.

I think it is silly. I've never been a fan of displacement markings on vehicles...

....and you're showing your age! :shakehead:

Let me correct myself... if the displacement is in CUBIC INCHES then it is okay... essentially making it okay for past generations of vehicles.

Thought about it but never did it. Wanted to buy a custom 5.3 badge for about three seconds then decided the already de-badged truck was all I needed.

Aluminum 454's? There were a few heads available for the BB, but the all aluminum was a 427 and those are rare.

6.2 come badged

Where?

I assumed they were badged like the Vortec 6.0 Badge...

nope no badges for the 6.2

Only way to tell is the tailpipe out the back and the 6.2 sticker on the airbox (and the RPO code for the engine)

I thought about going with emblems on my 99, but if memory serves me right, I believe the 5.3 is actually a 325. I did have some 5300 decals made up that I put on next to the bowtie 1500 emblems on the doors. It actually didn't look too bad.
