Driver Side Fender

How much do you guys think it will cost to fix my driverside fender, my sister hit it while backing out of my driveway. If I do keep my truck within this year and next year. I will get a built transmission, don't trust my 4l70. Also thinking of doing a flip kit to lower the rear 6 inches and dropping the front 4 inches with the lowering spindles and lowering coil springs. Anyone know how much it would cost to fix the driver side fender?

ouch! Looks like probably a $500-800 body shop bill to me.

What is your 4L70E doing that makes you not trust it? Slipping problems or something?

Matching the color on that fender may be tough. Silver metallics are challenging colors to match. I looks like the dent is a bit too deep for paintless dent removal, but I would call one of those guys to see if he could do it.

i don't know about new fender prices but, with cost of fender and paint and labour i did one for a 95 for about 400 canadian. Bondo may take more time than a re&re and then you have bondo in your new truck. If you buy a new fender, it comes primed and sealed most of the time, just scuff paint and clear coat and install. you could save $$$ if you installed it yourself. IMHO

I had a shooping cart run into the side of my 08 GrandAm GT, putting a dent deep enough behind the front wheel that I could not open the drivers door. It cost the grocery store $1200 for a fender and paint. The car was that orange metallic colour they had (fusion orange I think) and they matched it perfectly, no blending required on door or hood.

The reason I don't trust the transmission is that it broke last year and if I didn't have warranty I would have to fix it myself. The 6.0l is too powerful for a stock 4l70. So, If I keep my Max I will get a performance rebuilt so I don't have to be worrying about my transmission. Thanks for the comments I will look into the suggestions you guys gave me.
