Looks like those of us with the heated washer fluid feature are going to be losing it again,This time permantly...

I really like the heated windshield fluid, nothing defrosts an windshield in the winter time faster, especially in a diesel.

Damn I guess I am loosing that feature on my truck then and all I am getting is a $100 bucks out of the deal... I wonder how much the feature cost in the first place?

Being an '09 probably not,They discontinued the option early in the '09 model-year because of issues (Obviously!)

The switch for it would be under the HVAC controls.

Yeah I'll let them keep my hundo and I'll keep my heated washer fluid...for now.

Hmmm...so I can either keep my heated washer fluid (by not doing the recall) or have it disabled, get $100, and use that switch for something else...

But if I do disable it I'll order the group of switches "without" the switch for the heated washer system,That way I don't have a switch that does nothing....I hate having switches that do nothing

Its my favorite feature, there is no way in hell I'm giving it up cause a hand full of idiots prolly tried to use it with no fluid in the reservoir causing it to overheat.

 

out of 1.5 million vehicles, what's the chance of mine having the issue... please. Keep ur reservoir full and call it a day.

 

I also hate having buttons that do nothing! I hate the blanks for options I didn't get. I don't like the empty fuse spot that's labeled for air conditioned seats!

Does anybody have a picture of an '08 with that spot full of switches? I have wondered what all goes there and if I could fill it with switches to be used for other purpose.

I don't have a pic but I think the buttons are for the power pedals, stabilitrac & the heated washer fluid.

 

I have the heated fluid as well and LOVE it in the winter, even use it to get bugs off a bit better in the summer....

Do those three fill the whole spot? It looks like there would be room for 4 and all I have is the heated wipers. Being 2500HD, stabilitrac was not available on them in '08

I'm not 100% sure. The truck I ordered had stabilitrac, power pedals & heated fluid and I know thats where the buttons were....but there was an axle strike when my truck was ordered so I ended up getting one with out the stabilitrc & pedals....so I only have the one button too...
