Anyone Running 17" Chrome Or Black Rims..

I was just wanting some pictures...of some 17" chrome or black rims on the trucks...Been looking at rims...dunno if i should stay at 17...since i have a set of tires...or go to an 18 or 20...

if you ever get a lift...how bad does 17" rims look....how big of tires can you put on them..to make up the difference.

imo keep 17s. the more sidewall the better. also, its not really the rim diameter that limits the tire height, its the rim width (they make 44" swamppers to fit 15s for example). as you go taller you need to go wider too. my truck is on 17 inch rims with a 34 inch tire (in my sig)

so...what rim width would you go with...to help in the future if you want to go big...but still able to run...some..normal sized tires.

thats what i went with, but i also dont like low profile tires on a truck. the rim width you need also depends on the manufacturer. usually each tire company's site will post the suggested rim widths for their tires. for my nitto terra grapplers, nitto says anything from a 8-9.5" wide rim will fit their 305/70/17. i could also fit 265/70/17 (32- stock), 285/70/17 (33), or a 325/70/17 (35") on a 17x9. but this changes from tire to tire and for my piece of mind i try to stay in the middle of the approved rim width range that they give. id check each tire site first and decide what tire you want and then choose the wheel size to fit the tire. here's the nitto page for their terra grapplers to refer to:

what size wheels you have stock? and what tires do you already have? they may already fit your wheels.
