+1 do not stray from OEM delco plugs & wires...also search as there was just a thread on this...

Bosch.... They belong in the box on the shelf......... Get some AC Delco or NGK's.......... AC Delco or NAPA Belden (Belden have a lifetime warranty) on the wires.....

 

Plugs I have pulled a bunch of OE plugs out of LS engines quite a few had NGK numbers and delco numbers on the plugs... I am not at work or I would post the numbers.

go with AC Delco or NGK. from what i have heard NGK makes the AC Delco plugs

NGK v-power coppers. inexpensive and work great. You have to replace them more often, though cause they are copper and you lose the sharp edge of the electrode. I change mine every 10k to 15k miles. Costs me around $15 and I always have fresh plugs in the truck and it allows me to keep an eye on each cylinder for oil leaks and such.

 

If you don't feel like coppers an changing them out as often, go with some of the platinums they will definitely not wear as fast but they also don't have the same conduction properties as the copper. A lot of plugs are copper cored anyway they just have platiunum or whatever metal on the outside of the copper. Some other real smart peeps will chime in about it if they get time.

 

I would go with NGK or AC/delco no matter which route you go.

In the back of the champion catalog they list which Plug ARE PRODUCED and labeled for OE sales (i.e. AC Delco, Motorcraft, Ford Genuine, Genuine GM, Mopar, BMW, etc, etc, etc)... I will look tomorrow I got a 2010 catalog from the rep 2 weeks ago.

 

I don't remember them being OE plugs on LS engines....... This was something me and the rep talked about and he showed me the spot in the cataloging...

No you are right . They are not OE for this engine. We make our own DP and Ird for this engine. But we are now making more and more AC plugs for OE engines...............Scott
