hey i need to know if there is a kit to add factory fogs to a truck that didnt come with them. and if so is the truck prewired and does it come with everything like the switch, and front valance

Actually, yes you can buy a kit from either GM or go the aftermarket route.

 

About two weeks ago I installed the factory fog lights in my truck. Very easy install, it only took about an hour and a bit. I have the same truck as you, it's not pre wired, but its very simple to do. If you plan on going factory you have to remove the dash, install the fog light/cargo light switch first. Then remove the bumper (its easier to get at them this way) and cut out the holes, i used an exacto knife for this. Install the fogs and wire them under the fuse box. I can scan the directions and post pictures if you would like to see in more detail.

yes. and my gmc has fogs. im just missing the valance and both lights, and one bracket. im looking for my friends chevy. and i want the factory look

Factory Fog Light Kit for the 06 Silverado comes with everything you need including the lower valance with the fog light holes. Pretty easy install, I did mine a couple of years ago.

mine never came with the lower valance and the kit was straight from a gm dealer. I just cut the holes out with a knife.

 

where did you get it? and what did it cost?

 

I bought the kit off ebay and if I can remember correctly it was $130ish
