Has Anyone Added Parking Sensors?

I have both the sensors and back up camera, both factory! Personally I would look into the back up camera. It gives you a much better idea. The sensors are nice but I like the camera. That was one of the options I made sure it had when I bought it! As for adding the sensors I'm not sure what exactly what would be involved. I know the camera is fairly easy to install. There are a couple threads on it as well.

I would think the camera would be easier and cheaper to add than the sensors... and more effective. The sensor system is pretty complex with many different components and programming. The camera just needs the correct Plug and Play Nav unit and the camera assembly. I have the sensor system and it works well, but looking at all the stuff involved I can't imagine doing the mod from scratch...

Most parking sensors do much more than act as a parking sensor. They operate on the 904 light frequency, jamming police lidar guns. Yes, they are very effective too.

??? Even if they did actually jam radar, wouldn't the sensors only be active if in reverse gear or, if you have the front sensors like Caddy's do, at a very slow speed? BS meter is starting to twitch a bit...
