2007 2500hd Integrated Brake Controller

I have a 2007 Chevy 2500HD Duramax w/ the factory integrated brake controller. I tried to use it for the first time and it doesn't work. If I hook to a trailer w/ electric brakes, it says I'm connected but doesn't apply the brakes. If I hook to a trailer with an electric over hydraulic conversion, I get absolutely nothing. I saw a thread on this site from 2008 talking about an issue that GM knew about but had no fix for yet. Can you tell me if there was a bulletin on this or of you have any insight on my problem?

My 2003 2500HD Duramax required a fuse in the panel under the hood before the trailer brakes worked. It came from the factory with a plastic dummy in the slot.

Yeah, I found that after I had no power at all but my electric brake output (the blue wire) has zero voltage no matter if you press the brake or manually slide the controller.

Did you check output right at the controller, or back at the trailer connection? If it's zero right at the controller, & no adjustments work, I'd say the unit took a dump. In which case I'd would highly recommend a Tekonsha P3. I have one ... & I think it's the best controller on the planet, imho. Fully adjustable, diagnostics built in, tells you how many volts or amps are going to the trailer, adjustable on the fly, can even change display color. Installation will be a piece of cake since you already have one installed.

Okay, so I figured it out! Apparently the factory system must detect resistance to work. Therefore it will not work properly with electric over hydraulic brakes. I spoke to the guys at Titan-BrakeRite and they have a fix. They sell a module for $80 that simulates a standard electric brake system.
