What Single 12" Sub Setup In Nnbs Crew Cab?

Well after getting my indash along with my comps and rear fill installed its time to move onto the subs. I had been looking at getting the Subthump dual 10 box with the amp space but decided I wanted to keep just a little extra storage and have decided to go with a single 12" sub. I want the single 12" Subthump box for my 2010 but I cant find many subs that will work with this enclosure, I looked at the round 12" solo classic from Kicker that has a mounting depth of 6 5/16" and the box can hold up to a 6.5" mounting depth, is it ok to use a sub with it so close to the box? Anyone other subs that will work in this box would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and if you have pics thats a plus as well......

Mounting depth should be OK. The box is probably tapered which will allow some cooling to the voice coil of the sub. I have even took a dremel and ground some cooling channels in the wood so the voice coil vent a little better. Not all the way thru, just maybe half the thickness of the wood and as wide as you want to make them.

Any other sub recommendations will be listen to as well. Hope to order by the weekend so any quick input would be greatly appreciated. I have searched and most is just about 10's not many single 12" setups out there

I would recommend this woofer: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/p_...d_RSdC_124.aspx

Mounting depth is 6.25 inches and needs a box between 1.17 and .72 cuft which should work nicely with the subthumb box. These subs like small boxes and can get real low.

PG doesn't make them anymore but here is where you can buy them: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/p_...d_RSdC_124.aspx
