More lay-off's and they are taking away our bonusus and cutting salary a bit. It's gonna hurt. I may not be able to hang onto my Duramax and still be able to put money away for savings... Gonna have to work out the numbers once we know more by the end of this week. At this point I am just grateful to have a job, but am defenitly polishing things up and starting to look elsewhere. From what it sounds, people in my department may be taking a $10,000 cut... OUCH

Rough times for a lot of folks. This is a time to remember the important things and it sounds like you have your head on straight. At my job we are dealing with staffing reductions, mostly through attrition, and probably no raise this year. Even with a bit more work to do I am thankful to have a job. Seeing so many good folks in such rough places reminds me of how lucky I am. I can remember my Dad barking "when times get rough suck it up and count your blessings, they will get you through". The guy went through enough to know what he is talking about. I hope things don't get to rough for you or anyone.

Broadband industry. Mainly fiber optics. Everyone is depressed around here but I try to look on the bright side of things. I still have a job. Too many out there who do not.

I feel your pain, as our company has been working 30 hour weeks most weeks for the last 6 months. It sure is hard to save for a rainy day when most days are rainy. 25% reduction in pay is no fun.

It's tough out there. Hopefully everything works out so you can keep your truck.

Forget the truck, hope everything works out so that you can keep your house and feed your family. There are a lot of people out there that can not.

I am sorry to hear about this, it kind of negates all of the talk in the media about a recovery... Good Luck!

i feel your pain..be lucky your still working as long as you have been, some of us have not been so lucky.

the CO i use to work for 6 yrs. ago packed up over a weekend and told no one about it and moved it to Mexico. moved back to Ca with a promise of my old job back, got there no job..lost over $30k a year in income since. been unable to find any work for over a year that pays more than $9.00 per hr. $10.50 if you have a collage degree..and god forbid your over 50.

good luck in dealing with the cut, but don't give up things might get better in 4-5 years..
