No idea, but thanks for the heads up.

I'd be happy with just more POI, from 09-10 I noticed a big change so I'm hoping for something similar.

Has anybody upgraded to this disc? Apparently it does include a firmware update and there is some new improved colors on for the display. Be interesting to see if anyone has noticed.

Got that disk but its a new Nav just installed with that disk so I'm unsure of the changes , other than it did do some firmware upgrade when I first turned it on .

Any new info on this updated disc? Thinking about ordering but $200 is a little steep for a few map updates.

One thing that I've noticed is that it has a "breadcrumbs" feature. It puts little dots on the map on the last route you drove. Maybe this is in a previous version, but I hadn't noticed it on mine before.

I've also noticed an increase in startup time for the map software. I don't recall having a delay with the map software before, but with the new software, I often get a message "Reading MAP DVD" or something similar.

Mine's got breadcrumbs and it's an un-updated 2007+. I agree Sir Dan, $200 is robbery!!! Those people are NUTS asking that much for that disc.

Can you give your disc to a buddy to load or not?

Also, when i drove my truck to my house the first time it showed no roads. I live in a new subdivision.

But maybe a week later i noticed that the roads were added, and i did nothing.

Is the nav updating somehow through onstar?

The DVD disc cannot be transferred to another vehicle, it stays in the unit at all times. There is no active update system thru Onstar that I know of. Sometimes it takes awhile for the software to fully load the area you are driving in so that may have been what you seen. Note also that the "breadcrumbs" you guys refer to is the Off-Road Mode in the Menu section. It leaves little blue dots in your track...mine has this as well but I leave it off.

You can give it to someone and it'll update their firmware, but the maps are on the disc. So, if you don't have a disc, you don't have any maps. A disc should always be in the nav unit.
