Around here we spray the underneath of our vehicles with chainsaw bar oil to stop the rust. As far as the hitch just wire brush it and give it a couple of coats of Rustoleum.

i was thinking about coating both of my trucks with 2 coats of rubberized paint before the winter time last year the snow took my brake lines 700 dollar job.if my shocks get any rustier they might just snap.haha i love my trucks and try to take care of them the best i can but i never ran into times so tough cant find any work at all!.But back on point try to knock off any rust and debris with a wired brush or something like that then just spray some rubberized paint on their its not really its like that bedliner stuff that you spray on it really strong stuff i should have done last winter but didnt expect the snow to be 3 feet deep!.

Nice Ideas! but i would really like to take care of the rust really clean it Up then maybe ill undercoat/paint/oil the underside. So would you guys happen to know if theirs any other option than sandblasing? and if not how much would a full frame sandblasting be... and maybe somthing for the metalic bumper thats starting to get some rust bubbles (very minor) right now

Yes the stuff is really thick and protects everything it comes in touch with. We actually have places here that are called oil undercoaters. They use a sprayer hooked up to an air compressor. They will spray inside the doors and tailgate too. The car/truck will seep a little oil from door handles etc for a week or so but there is very little dripping. It will stop any rust that you have and actually if you drive on some dusty roads after it is done there will be no dripping and it creates a great protective bond with the dust and oil.

The trick with oil is that a little goes a long ways. Just a light film is all it takes. It also protects brake lines and fuel lines that are exposed to the elements.
