Cruise + Power Windows = ?

Ok fellas, need someone else to try this and see if anything happens. Set your cruise at whatever speed you like, while on cruise with all your windows up, click the windows up, or try to raise them while they are already closed. Click the switch up 5 or 6 times and see if you get anything to happen. I want to make sure this is normal between all of our trucks.

This is a very annoying "feature!"

im curious to. im guessing it either shuts off the cruise, makes the truck go faster, or engages a moderate shot of nitrous oxide for passing people. so 5 clicks up, 2 down, 3 up and foot to the floor right?

Haha!!

I've been meaning to post this question for months now but always forget! I noticed this, it happens on mine as well. When cruise is set, you can turn it off by pressing both rear power window buttons up twice. (even with the windows closed).

Atleast I now know im not the only one!

that sounds like a nintendo code from the original nes. likely from something like mike tysons punchout.

Guess it's a good thing that when my window are rolled up I don't need to raise them up anymore, but that is pretty funny.

If your window was up already, why would you try to raise it up 5 or 6 times more?

Its called having a 5 year old in the back seat playing with the switch. Needless to say I had to experiment after I finally figured out why the cruise kept turning off. So now I just keep the rear windows locked out.

I just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one!

not a big deal for people who dont have kids unless you are playing with the button for some stupid reason...but i can deffinately see how this would get very annoying on the highway with some kids in the vehicle....that would drive me nuts. so it happens then the back door window button is pressed from the back? with the windows up and the window lock on?

Its a power draw issue. We used to have 4dr 4x4 blazers at work, and at night you could see the headlights dim if you kept playing with the window up button, when the windows were all the way up.
