Tailgate Weatherstripping

With my canopy on, I would like to be able to seal off the inside of my box this winter from a bunch of snow and water and crap from getting inside.

 

Anyone know whats good, if there is anything.

Get the tailgate seal from Access covers, much better than the "generic" seals. It's a multi-piece seal that is made for the GMT900.

Is it this one? Doesnt say it is made specifically for the gmt-900 it looks to be universal like all others

My dad has the Agricover seal on his 08, we just installed it because it came with the cover he got, but it seems to work decent, but we didn't spend too much time on the install, but if you took some more time and worked on it a little better, it would probably work pretty well. Also you'll probably want to adjust your tailgate latches especially if you have a bedliner

Anyone with a spray in bedliner found a solution to the tailgate seal? With the textured coating, the seals listed above won't adhere.

 

I'd like to find something that will work and seal up the tailgate.

I have the Access Cover w/ their seal and a spray in liner. I don't drive a lot of gravel roads anymore, but it seems to work pretty well

 

Even in heavy rains, only a tiny amount of water 'creeps' in.

So it sticks on ok? I was just concerned that it would peel off..... I couldn't get the seal to work on the front of the box because of this, but I would like to seal it up better. Things get wet in the back when I go throught the car wash!

 

Maybe I'm confused at where it's mounted. I'll have to have another look at the truck.

Well I should have said I've only had the thing for 2 or 3 months!

 

And I don't have the front seal. The tonneau guy said that he doesn't find them necessary with sprayed beds. I assumed you were talking about the tailgate seal. It pinches in between the front of the gate and the back of the bed.

I'll have to look again. If I remember, they sprayed down about an inch around the back perimeter, so I was thinking that it wouldn't stick there. I'll have to look again. All I know is if I take the truck to Costco for groceries MAKE SURE YOU DON'T hit the auto car wash on the way home, and the goods in the back! Everything in the back corners gets wet. Only make that mistake once.
