Factory 3.5mm Jack

Anyone used it for a long period of time? Taken the cable in and out frequently, not just left it in? I am wondering if these radios have the common 3.5MM jack problems of getting stuck thinking a cable is plugged in when it is not. I do appraisals on GMAC lease returns and repos, as well as Rental returns, and I have seen 2 in 4 years that had that problem (try to use the radio and it switches to aux every 20 seconds with nothing plugged in).

 

I don't really plan on changing the radio, want it to last awhile but would like to use it.
