I just get a kick out of the OP with an LT bitching about the super Lux trucks.... Why didn't he get a lower optioned truck? because the LT obviously had something he wanted. I bought an LS. I have carpet, power locks/windows, etc. I have a 300HP V-8. Even if he just wanted a 5.3 over a 4.8 I still say his argument doesn't make any sense because he could have gotten a W/T. Guys like him want to bitch because some people have LTZ's but wouldn't get cought dead with Crank windows and Pleather OR the Smaller V-8....

If my Dad was still alive today he would be calling me a" Mamby Pamby" for driving a truck like I do today. My old man lived through the dirty 30's depression and battled in WW2 so I can have a soft life of ease by comparison to what he went through. Those men were so tough and would see us as just too soft today. But I think he would enjoy riding in my truck. God bless him.

This apparently should be what the 2013/14 truck interiors look like. Military had it right all along...good bye technology...hello dark ages.

You think it'll have bluetooth for my phone?

Hey, that's a new model that has the turn signal that automatically shuts off after the turn!! That thing is loaded up!!

If you want a mamby pamby truck get a ridgeline, and if the truck has a shifter like a car..... I dont mind some comforts but when I buy a truck and am forced to have car like features, then I complain (car shifter  ). If you use your truck as a truck rarely, why have a truck! I dunno just my 2 cents and everyone is entitled to their opinion. :D

Automatic transmission? :D:lol:

I honestly didn't know what you meant :)

I thought maybe you were talking about having the gear shift on the floor or something.

My truck doesn't have a lot but it does have a lot more than i ever had before. Power, Carpet...well thats about it, but it is a lot nicer than anything i have had in the past. It still goes hunting, hauls what i need it to haul, gets me to work and back, Looks sweet and is comfortable for the whole family. It being nicer than a beater makes me take care of it a lot better. Appreciate what you have. Some people would love to have a new WT and would think it was fantastic. If you have a nice cooshy truck appreciate it and take care of it. Doesn 't mean you can't work and play hard. You just have to spend 4 hrs the next day making it look new again.

Get a grip! Why in the world would anyone give a rip what options are on someone else's truck? Buy the one you like, Tom will buy the one he likes, Dick will buy a Ford, Harry will borrow his uncles truck, and I'll drive the one I thought was best for me. What the heck does it matter to you?

Next, the Op will be telling us real men only like women with hairy armpits.

Definition of a coward..... a guy who wakes up with his nose in a hairy armpit and is afraid to open his eyes.

As an owner of a "bare bones" W/T, I have to say that I love it. No worries about getting the carpet dirty. So what if it has the V6. No need for cruise control on my 10 minute commute to work. The standard A/C keeps me cool in the summer. As a previous owner of smaller trucks (Reg cab Ranger/ext cab Mazda/ext cab Dakota) I knew I wanted a to buy a full size truck when I purchased my current Silverado. For a little over $10k, I got what I wanted. Ended up taking the $$$ I saved and added what "creature comforts" that I wanted: tinted windows and an upgraded sound system. To each their own, I guess...

Personally I think gm did a good job with their trim levels.

WT, SLE ,LT are great work truck interiors SLE and LT being a good compromise between work and comfort. WT being excellent for a plain work truck that you can give your employees to drive to jobsites.

SLT, LTZ and Denali are great feeling car like interiors for people who use trucks only occasionally as trucks. With what I do I work likely destroy one of these interiors in a Short couple years, though they do look nice and comfortable!

One thing I don't like so much is the front airdam clearance to ground, and the pansy front bumpers. But those are minor complaints honestly.

    • It wouldn’t have happened if the government hadn’t mandated outrageous fuel mileage standards. It does very little for the consumer. It adds cost. Back during Covid there was a chip shortage. They gave a rebate for your truck if it didn’t have the chip to turn on cylinder deactivation. It was 50$ because at best you may see 1/2 a mile increase per gallon. Splitting hairs each fuel mileage trick wasn’t mandated. The government doesn’t do the engineering work and say use this until it’s already in use and they like it. The fuel mileage was mandated. And those add ons the results. There’s a mandate and they are the results.
    • It was never mandated.  Ever.    Automakers were incentivized to install it by getting CAFE credits to help with their vehicle fleet fuel economy scores.  They were being handed money/CAFE credits to install it.  Which is NOT a mandate.       The current admin removed the incentives that were behind them installing it.
    • Are you playing Slide Down endlessly but your score is still low? Are you constantly crashing into obstacles as the game speed increases? Don't worry, this article will share 5 invaluable tips to help you master the race and impress your friends. Golden Rules 1. Look one step further. The mistake of 90% of new players is only staring at their character. The secret of experts is to look towards the top of the screen (where the slide is about to appear). This gives your brain an extra 0.5 - 1 second to process the situation and determine the direction of movement before the obstacle approaches. 2. Use gentle movements; don't swipe too hard. Slide Down is very sensitive. Moving your finger too forcefully or with excessive amplitude will cause your character to be thrown off course or crash into a wall. Practise moving your finger with small, decisive, and precise movements. 3. Don't be greedy for gold in dangerous locations. Gold coins are tempting for buying skins, but life is more important. If you see a gold coin right on the edge of a cliff or next to a spike trap, ignore it. Our goal is a High Score, and your score only increases if you survive. 4. Make the most of Power-ups. During the slide, you'll encounter items like Magnets (attract gold) or Shields (temporary invincibility). Never miss them! Especially the Shield, it's your "get out of jail free card" to help you get through those deadly fast sections. 5. Stay calm when speed peaks. When your score exceeds 500 or 1000, the game speed will be very fast. At this point, don't try to think logically; let your natural reflexes work. Take deep breaths and don't panic. Apply these 5 tips to your next game, and your leaderboard will surely improve dramatically. Good luck climbing the Slide Down leaderboard!
    • If you use compressed air regularly, one problem you cannot ignore is moisture. Water in the air line can cause rust, unstable air pressure, poor tool performance, and even damage to sensitive equipment. That is why I highly recommend using a desiccant air dryer. A desiccant air dryer is designed to remove moisture from compressed air by using drying materials such as activated alumina or molecular sieve. Compared with basic water separators, it can achieve much lower dew points, making it especially useful for applications that require dry and stable air. For workshops, painting systems, pneumatic tools, CNC machines, laser cutting equipment, and industrial production lines, a desiccant air dryer can make a big difference. It helps protect equipment, improve air quality, reduce maintenance costs, and extend the service life of the whole compressed air system. Another advantage is reliability. Many desiccant air dryers are built for continuous operation and can maintain stable drying performance even in demanding environments. For users who care about long-term efficiency and equipment protection, this is a smart investment. When choosing a desiccant air dryer, I suggest paying attention to air flow capacity, working pressure, dew point performance, regeneration method, and maintenance requirements. A good model should match your compressor system and actual air consumption. Overall, if moisture is causing problems in your compressed air system, a desiccant air dryer is definitely worth considering. It is practical, efficient, and highly useful for anyone who needs clean, dry, and reliable compressed air.
    • My brand new 2007 Silverado's wax frame was rust from end to end partway through it's SECOND winter here in MA. That stuff is completely useless.
