being a college student in a weak job market my choices are limited to finding a job that can feed the truck and cover the bills, my job use to be great but at this point i get more anger then joy out of going to work, being treated like shit and yelled at like i'm a lesser being has made me resent management...being expected to work full bore all day in the heat or cold, for 9-12 hour days otherwise face punishment really brings a large amount of dread...man i go to work to work, i diden't sign up to be just short of working on a confederate plantation..anybody else hate their job?

There are days I hate mine. In the end, in this economy, I am glad to have one though. There is always someone who has it rougher. I try to keep that in my thoughts, even on the bad days.

Just the opposite. I love my job, just haven't had a lot of opportunities to do it lately....

Well that is for my full time job. The Part Time Job I have I hate, the company is freakin cheap and the management focuses on a lot of petty bullshit that really doesn't matter at the end of the day. But what are you going to do, gotta take whatever work you can get right now....

i consider there to be a fine line between work/job vs agony/hate...if the work itself sucks and the people you work for suck, then what motivation is there ?

I can honestly say that I love my job. I run a site of over 500 employees, so I am part of the management that everyone hates, I guess. I do have Sunday football parties at work and try to have some fun, so not all of management is bad. I remember that I was once out on the main floor and I consider the employees that do that work as the most important people in the organization. Simple enough. I'm sorry that some of you have some crappy bosses.

I love my job its very diverse, I'm a longshoreman, and also a millwright.

I feel sorry for people who hate thier jobs, you should always do something you like, although I realize this may not be an option for some.

I hate my job!! The people suck!! It doesn't pay the bills!! Theres no health insurance for the family!!

Life is not so GOOD.

I've never collected unemployment and I've worked all my life. Went in the Marines at 17.

Now I'm 50 and barely hanging on. My family needs more than I can provide.

Is there any way I can get out of this situation. The only thing I can think of is to quit

and start looking for another job. I need some income though. Thats where the unemployment

thing comes in. If I quit am I screwed??

I know..find another job first..well...this one sucks so much it may not be an option.

Why am I posting this here... :fume:

Good luck to ya ^. Ya most days I hate my job. Have had jobs in the past that I liked. I've been a GM Technician now for almost 8 years. I like turning wrenches, but mostly hate where I work. The people I work with make it that way. But that is almost everywhere. I am thankful to have a job and try to remember it can always be worse.

I hate my job and probably 50% of the people I work with.

I've just managed to compartmentalize those 8 hours a day, and when I walk out the door, I data dump the whole business and don't think about it.

I'm funny about paychecks. Mine are fairly nice (especially for Oklahoma), I like getting them...So I'll keep showing up.

I am a science teacher, and I just moved to a new city, and obviously to a new school. The school I am now in is run by the most incompetent idiots I have ever seen. Talk about a waste of tax payers money, and an injustice to these kids. As a teacher, I have to finish my contract until the end of the school year before I can move on. Granted, I came here with a top notch evaluations and "teacher of the year" award. It was a sad day when I realized I hated my job. I have since decided to give it all I've got , keep doing my thing, and don't let these idiots affect me so much. I can only change things that are under my control. I can only pray that these kids do okay in life with the mediocre education being provided to them. If you are having a hard time at your job, start setting yourself up for change, and when the opportunity comes along, you will be ready to make the chance. And don't forget to talk to the big guy (God) once in a while.
