What Is A Good Price For A Used 6.2l?

Recommended Posts

Example I am looking at now.

2010

SLE

Leather

No floor console

Digital A/C

Steering controls

22,500 miles

6.2L

20" Wheels

They originally said $29,900 and would take $500 if I didn't want the GM Certified Certificate

I emailed them back with an "Offer" and I got a response saying they would do $28,500.00 without TT&L

The only other trucks with the 6.2L I have found are around $30K used.

HELP!!!!

Sounds like a good deal? Counter offer them $28k out the door. What does the certificate actually do? You already have a factory bumper to bumper warranty till 36K miles and a 100,000 mile drivetrain.

After looking through used car ads and calling dealers I called for pricing on new 2010 and with all the rebates the new truck was easily 7000 cheaper than a 2010 with 30-50k kms.

Made it a pretty easy choice to buy a new truck for $27000

What do you guys think about that new 2010 Silver 6.2L I posted the info about? It has the smaller 17" wheels and was hoping it had the 20's Not reaaly sure about all of the other stuff. Seems like a really basic truck. No painted handles, mirror caps, cloth seating, Jump Seat etc etc

I cannot get it lower than $29,500.00 before TTL.

It's either buy that one or wait for a used truck or move to the 5.3L

You can always add wheels, painted door handles, etc. For me personally I would get what I wanted and not settle for something just because it is there. Probably why I have ordered my last 3 vehicles.

I have owned lots of trucks over the years...I have come to the conclusion that it's best not to settle for less than you what really want.If you get the 5.3L it will always be in the back of your mind that you should have got the 6.2L instead.

Hmm, a $ 29,400 discount for giving up a GM certificate sounds good to me. :)

my certified '10 loaded SLE 6.2 was $32k certified with only 1500 miles on it, untitled demo. About $10k off the orig. msrp. I would get the cloth one and add the other stuff, but it is nice to have the parking sensors, etc in the conv. package. Figure out if those things are that imp for you, but the 6.2 is the way to go IMO, or the D/max.

I got a brand spanking new 11' crew z71 4x4 with leather, remote start, reverse sensors, adjustable petals, z71 appearance package, 5.3, etc... for 31k, not bad for a 40,000$ truck. I too was looking at used, I was looking at a loaded out 08' extended cab and it was 29k with 32,000 miles..

Imo, the used car market is strong atm, and when I can get a brand new truck for 1-2k more with a new warranty and a clean history that I know of, thats a no brainer.
