Whats the most popular muscle car... (ie; easiest to find aftermarket parts for).

I'd love to build a "Bullitt" but I have a special place in my heart for a Chevelle SS.

Today you can find parts for just about everything (within reason)

But I would say the plentiful are

Mustang

Camaro/Firebird

Chevelle/El Camino

GTO

Charger

Oh and the older   as well, a lot of 55-57 repro parts available....

Chevelle, my choice, but I owned a 68 and 69 SS396 in my younger days...

My choice would be a Chevelle.  I am currently in the process of buying a 67 2dr ht Malibu.  I would like to find a 64-67 2dr ht SS, but I can't find one for sale in my area.

Here are a few websites to help you with your restoration.

www.opgi.com (chevelle parts)

www.goodmarkindustries.com

www.soffseal.com

Regcab, I have a set of SS396 badges from a 67 model.  When I got mine the first thing to come off of it were the badges in 74, I also pulled the consloe out of it to work on the shifter and never put it back, and for some reason when I moved I brought that stuff with me. so if you decide you need it let me know, and I will find it and see what shape it is in.

Just about anything Chevy from the late 60's up.  Heck, 3/4's of the Summit catalog is for Chevy.

The only mustang parts that are plentiful are Fox bodied mustang's

parts for mustangs are pretty easy to find

I have a friend who has a late 60s mustang project car and he has trouble finding parts.  They arent plentiful and they arent cheap

My ideal muscle-car would be either a '68/'69 Camaro all tubbed out with a blown 427 up front... Before I ever buy anything like that though, Im gonna keep my heart set on a new/newer Z06   :thumb:
