I have a 2010 Silverado Ext cab Long box, and just ordered a set of towing mirrors off ebay. I have power mirrors now, but just like the look of the towing mirrors so much more. I ordered the same (power, no turn signal )

Any insight on installing them ? I'm hoping to do them myself, are they easy ?

Anyone ever done this before ? what was your experience ?

What part number did you order? If you ordered 19202235 or 19243900 they will have turn-signals in them.

It's really easy. The hardest part is removing the door panels to gain access to the wiring harness. When you are removing your factory mirrors and then putting the tows on, just be careful you dont drop any of those 10mm nuts down into the door sheet metal. You won't find them.

+1.

I used fishing line just to be safe here. Tie one end around your wrist (steering wheel, vent, whatever is solid) and the other end around the nut.

I can't imagine the rattle that one of those would make if you did drop it into the door.

It is a pretty easy job but what was said above is true. I used some masking tape around the end of the socket to make sure I didn't drop them and once the screw was tight and I pulled the socked away the tape comes along with it. If it wasn't for the wiring harness it would have been even easier though...pesky wiring. :(
