285/65/18--fits With Rc 2" Level?

I did use the search function but I can't seem to find the definitive answers I am looking for. Will a 285/65/18 fit with the stock 18" wheel on a truck with the 2" RC level WITHOUT rubbing, trimming anything & affecting the speedo working correctly? If the answer is no to any of those questions, what tire will work?

Also, do you think that maybe the mods or the experts here can make a sticky about this? Trying to search is like finding a needle in a haystack and everyone seems to have the same questions about the tires. Maybe the sticky could have the different tire sizes and let you know what you need to do to make it fit--trim, level, lift, rubbing, different wheels, stock wheels, etc. I think that would alleviate a lot of the same questions getting asked plus make it easier for members to find the answers instantly.

I believe a 33" tire, with close to stock tread width, on a stock rim will fit with a 2" level with no rubbing. You'll have to check tire rack website or somewhere to translate 285/65/18 into inches. Keep in mind the same size tire made by different brands don't always measure the same. best to compare on a site that shows real specs (again like tire rack). If I'm wrong someone will chime in soon.

i did the rc 2" lift and run 285/65/18 nitto trail grabbers and have no rub at all. i had the same size bfg at's and had no issue there either.

Was the speedo correct as well?

Speedo will be a little off. Not much though.

A sticky would be a good idea! A list of max tire sizes with particular rim sizes on stock and leveled trucks as well as offsets.

Op, those tires should fit fine.

IMO, there are way too many variables to make a sticky with definative answers regarding what tires/wheels will fit on X truck with X amount of lift, etc.

Speedo is going to be off one way or another if you change from the stock size in any way.

As far as 285's fitting on stock rims with a 2" level. Yes they will, seen it done many times before. You may have to take off the lower valence which is two bolts and a few clips, but if your going to level your truck and put aggressive tires on it, why wouldn't you want to take off that lame thing?

EDIT: Especially if you go with bfg 285s, they are incredibly undersized. They're not much taller than the stock 265's, they're just a little wider.

I have 295's w/ a 2.5" kit with no rubbing, no trimming, just removed the valence. Though I haven't put it in any crazy angles off road yet.
