Out With The Year Old And In With The New

Hello, All.

Well I finally got some time to post about my good news.

Last week I went to the dealership to get service and saw the used car lot was thin. So I talk to my guy about it and they made me an offer I could not refuse. I traded in my black 2009 silverado all-star edition for a sheer silver 2011 chevy silverado texas edition 5.3 6 spd. I am already lovin the silver color...not lookin as dirty as the black. My black vehicle days are over!!!. My future plans include a level kit and billet grill and tow hooks. Once the newness rubs off I will cut the tailpipe and debadge. I dont see any sence in cutting or debadging a new truck, plus the chrome emblems are growing on me with the silver color.

I do not know what to do with the bowties yet. I want to keep but cover/color them, so I NEED SOME PICTURES of silver trucks and their covered/colored bowties. Thanks

Tell me what you think. Thanks

Congratulations. I have the extended cab version. You're gonna love that truck, although the Ebony interior (mine) shows every little speck of lint, etc.

If I might suggest . . .

Rear wheel well liners. About $140 or so at the dealer.

Get the Bed sprayed (over the rail) with Line X.

If you need a tool box go with the Low Profile 12" X ~20" Deep UWS.

(Tomorrow I'll check my model #. Very deep-leaves room for long items under but lots of storage.)

Put some auxiliary back-up lights on. With the Deep factory tint those 1157 lamps just don't throw enough light.

Tint the front windows to match the rear. Third Coast Tint has 18% that's a pretty good match. (Although it's slightly dark for Texas DOT).

I got mine in Oct. I think debadge time is nearing. A friend of mine has a CC like yours and he immediately stripped the badges off. It looks really good.

Congrats on the new ride, you are going to love it.

I traded a 2009 2500hd for a Silverado for other reasons but I will say they were making some great deals last month.

BTW, we are loving ours!

Congrats man!

I bought a new Silver truck as well. I was a little hesitant but very happy with the decision now.

I just removed all the logos on the tailgate except the chome SIERRA

Looks cleaner and the chrome goes well with the Silver.

Get the rear wheel well liners. Here is my truck with them

I painted mine with Duplicolor Paint to match, primer color and clear. It was a b*tch to tape off but turned out pretty good.IMG_0328.jpg

The tonnopro cover, window vent visors, and kn drop in filter (recharged) all came from my 2009. I took it all off before I traded it in, cuz you know dealerships dont give a crap about the acc you have on your truck. If I had more time I would have taken off the level kit, but I had little time.

I also will prob be getting the wheel well liners, it looks cleaner being black in the wells.

Hodges.... is your truck the sheer silver (silver metallic) or birch silver....how good does the bowties match??? It looks good.
