so at my spare class me and two friends were going out cruising in his expedition. when my friend answered his phone i heard he say where are you, and instantly i knew someone was stuck. so we go touring back roads until we find them. Of coarse they on a seasonal road that is not cleared in the winter. the buddy (2001 chevy 4x4 bald M/T's) that called was pulling out the first truck (2007 chevy 1500 4x4). the first truck was about 60 feet in hard packed snow which was about a foot deep. SO both trucks are stuck, we pull out the 2001, the expedition driver thinks he can make it through the ditch, i say there is no way, well he goes for it, suck. so we go to his house in the 2001, we start his 1987 429 super duty with a 6'' suspension with 35's. He has no gas, so we try siphon gas out of his quad to fuel the truck. after 10 minutes we get the gas, he go to pour it in and the gas lid has a lock on it and the lock is froze, so that plan goes down the drain. About that time there is 5 of us packed in the 2001, we rip back to town and finally get a real truck. by that time we are ten minutes late for class so we decide to skip it. i let mine warm up, three of us get in my truck and two get in a 90's Nissan pathfinder. we go back to the road were the other trucks are stuck. i take the field cause the ditchs are full and i have to pull the expedition out, Because it is perfectly side ways on the road. while im riping through the field in about 2 feet of snow, we say that the pathfinder will get suck on the road and guess what the amateur driver losses control and hits the ditch, we start laughing, it was right hilarious. SO i pull out the expedition like its a sack of potato's. i rip back through the field back to the main road which is about 1/2 mile. then i pull out the pathfinder. that on the other hand was a pain in the ass. that dam import only span one tire in 4x4. Next i move to the 2007 chevy which is about 500 yards west of it. i back up to it, im in about 1 foot of deep hard snow. i hook up gave him a little jerk and i just walked him out. Nothing like gm power

Long story short it was like that country song, the ford got stuck, and chevy got stuck, then hudaright dodge got stuck in the tractor ruts or how ever it goes.

anyway i made 20 bucks so that wasn't too bad and i love pulling people out.

Well this is how it went down. i think i will have to buy a camera to keep in my truck, for experiences like this, and i was nice that i had about 70 feet of tow rope

here is my amazing drawing skills, the black squares are the trucks, i had to drive through the field to pull out the expedition.

that does look like a sick field though.

im assuming the V ditch is a V shaped ditch you cant get through?

ya the way the v-ditchs are around here, are dug in the bottom between two hills. so there is about 4-5 feet of snow that drifted it between the hills and over the v-ditch. so i would have got stuck before i got to the ditch. originally the pathfinder was supposed to take us home if my truck got stuck somewhere, but since he hit the ditch i had to take it cautiously.

ha wow. my buddies got a 98 pathfinder and its OK offroad but if you go to long offroading, you can smell the clutch burning up and we have to stop

is it a stick. this one is and when we go off-roading i just vibrate and cringe in the passenger seat when he drives that stick. i feel so bad for that poor clutch.
