Air Deflector

i took mine off because i did not want to keep dragging it on parking curbs and in deep snow.

Mud was my reason.

What did you take off on yours? My 03 just had the gray lower valance where the foglights are. Did you remove that or something else?

The picture in my sig was taken a few minutes after I removed the air dam so you can see what I didnt remove. I had the lower spoiler looking air dam like on the 900s have.

Weird- my 03 didn't have anything else under the gray part. Maybe the previous owner took it off?

Probaly, if it even came with one. Im not sure if all of the 800 series trucks came with them or if it was just the later models.

If you remove the gray plastic portion, you will definately have airflow problems.

I have a 2008 GMC Sierra crew cab and I am looking for the 2 piece air deflector that fits the fog lights. I am trying to avoid the dealership price of $300. For those worried about looks, my truck looks shitty without that piece. Someone please help. P.S. when I look online it always sends me to bug deflectors or the window air deflectors. What do I enter to find what I need.

My 06 had the lower piece as well, it came off because it was attached to the bumper

Maybe they say it has to do with fuel mileage because of the low pressure area. So your fans won't have to work as much, therefore getting better mileage? Didn't seem to really affect mine.
