Why So Many Small Buttons?

I remember teh early 90's trucks had all those tiny buttons that would give trouble. Then in about '95 Chevy to a new theory about ergonomics and the like. Buttons were more simple and all could be used with gloved hands. Now it crazy again. An equinox is layed out so crazy I have a hard time figuring it out. My wifes '10 lacrosse has a managerie of buttons too. I am sure a more mature person wuld need reading glasses to navigate these things.

Yeah it seems like the R&D engineers were on vacation when management gave the green light to the button design.

Ask GM to do more discontenting and all the bell and whistles will go away. Bottom line cheaper vehicles, kinda would remind me of a 1950 Chevy with only Radio,heater & direction signals as options.
