Climate Control Please Help

I'm no expert, but from what I've read up on the auto climate control is there are resisters in the system for the different settings. You may have one that's blown so it might be defaulting to "hot" for everything. I don't have any info about how to go about fixing, sorry. I could be wrong on this entirely so hopefully one of the technicians out there could be of more assistance.

Thanks for the reply...What does the little wrenches on the left stand for. Some people have one or more?

You gain wrenches as the more posts/replies to add to the site. Your title also changes. I haven't figured out the counts on replies equal number of wrenchs since I've only been an actual member since Oct '10 myself. If they have any other meaning I'm not aware of it, yet.

Sorry to dig up an old post but I am having this same issue. It recently had work done and the body shop is an hour away so I'd like to try and fix it myself. The climate control just blows cold air no matter what temperature. Also, when I try and switch to floor or defrost vents it just blows out the central vents. Did you figure out the solution to this problem?

I've had the dual auto climate control go crazy on me a few times. Once the horn stuck on at 2 am, disconnected the battery to turn it off. In the AM, the climate control didnt work. Took it to a dealer, they replaced it. for 363.00

Fast forward last summer, replaced the battery. CLimate control acted up again. Defrost only, one side hot, one side cold. I researched and pulled the HVAC fuse under the hood for 20 seconds, reinstalled, started the truck and let the controller self adjust. Took a few times but it finally worked. Do not touch the controller for a few minutes while it adjusts. The dealer ****ed me out of 363.00.
