They are now advertising the new ZL1 Camero. I wish they would have named a Z28 and kept the tradition. But it looks the buissiness.

I want one.

Personally I think the ZL1 name is great choice for it. The current car is supposed to be inspired by the first gen car which the zl1 was the fastest, I doubt there will ever be a faster 5th gen than this from the factory so it fits.

It might also be because with the last gen they positioned the SS above the Z28 they didn't want to go back on that. But I think that this will be the halo camaro and then a track focused Z28 to compete with the new mustang boss 302 will be out as well, likely before the zl1.

Built a convertible on website ss rs 425 hp crystal red tint,ground effects,black stripes,about 2 weeks ago.Went on again yesterday had to build it again and stair at the bitch,WTF,no stripes from factory.They giveth and take away already.ZR1 WOW just another dream machine!!DREAM ON GUYS

its gunna cost as much as a vette though. i dont see it too much under 50k if under at all. probly be cheaper to get an ss and twin turbo for that freakin price!

No stripes on the convertible? That doesn't sound right unless they are on constraint for the current order cycle...

And your warrenty goes by by, the drivetrain has been beefed up on the ZL1 as has the brake cooling and the handling. The Z28 will still come, but on the next gen. The ZL1 will be a drag strip king while the Z28 will be a track king. I'm sure chevy has a bunch of stuff up it's sleeves. Exciting times!
