Synthetic Gear Oil Info Request

I've done some researching and it seems that synthetic trans and rear end gear oil cab be very beneficial. My truck has 30,000 miles and I'm running a 5 speed manual transmission. The cost of swithing over to synthetic fluids for the trans and rear end would be about $125. I plan to keep the truck. I like the member's opinions and recommmendations. Does it help performance? Is the cost worth it?

if I'm not mistaken, the fluid in the transmission (I think the manual transmissions use auto-trans fluid also) would be Dexron VI, which would be synthetic already. Not sure what factory fill is in the differential.

Trans and rear diff are factory synthetic.
