5.3/afm

Would like to document how many 5.3/AFM owners have oil consumption and have done the test at the dealer. Not just Silvy's. I know some don't use, and I'm happy for ya, so please leave this to the poor saps that are unlucky, myself included. Please list some info along with your post. I'll go first.

 

 

07 Silvy running Mobil 1 full syn. Changing at 5k intervals. Iron block. 57k on the clock. No lifter noise on startup. No missfires. Runs strong. Have completed the consumption test using 1 3/4 qts. per 3000k.

My reason is that, out of 7 pages, only about 9 posters, myself included, were actually using oil. That means we have to read thru all that, just to get a real idea of the actual number. There is some good discussion on the thread, but I am just interested in who is using, rather than a discussion of the cause. If you think this one should be deleted then I will continue posting in the other thread.

A poll might be the way to go that will show actual numbers. Do you know how to set one up? Let me know if not.
