Finally 50

...50,000 miles that is. Know that number doesn't mean much on this board, but this is my first vehicle in 10 years that I've had long enough to get 50k miles... and it only took me 4 years! haha

 

 

But seriously, that 4yrs/50k is all abusive, lead foot city driving.. I average 10 MPG. Since I've decided to keep this truck until the fall of 2012 (new 2013 Sierra's come out!), figure I'll do some fluid changes. Going to Royal Purple the tranny fluid, new fuel filter & thinking about Royal Purple the rear diff, even though I've heard it's good until 100k.

 

Any other suggestions...?

If it was me I would change the plugs too, I know they are supposed to be good for 100,000 miles but they are 4 years old so it cant hurt.

wow only 50,000 miles in 4 years. I put on around 23,000 this past year. things i would do is

1 - change all fluids - engine, tranny, diff, transfer case, and brake.

2 - change plugs.

3 - check the air cleaner. if dirty change and wipe out the air box.

4 - clean out the throttle body.

5 - run some injector cleaner through it.

 

Thats what i would do i know the truck manual has the service interval but i can't remember what it recommends.

wow only 50,000 miles in 4 years. I put on around 23,000 this past year.

 

I hit 3 yrs in Sept. and I have 18,500 on the clock.
