offroadn11 Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I drive down a lot of dirt roads and do a lot of driving through the woods. Would that be too rough for a RC 2" level?
700 sportsman Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 What are you thinking it would affect with the kit??
KMGZ400 Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 well regardless of the leveling kit or not, try not hit hit big ass potholes
offroadn11 Posted March 6, 2011 Author Posted March 6, 2011 i didnt know if the spacer would warp or something...
stlavsa Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 i didnt know if the spacer would warp or something... No but i see the concern.. all those roads are touch on the ball joints and seeing that the RC kit tends to cause premature joint wear... I think the main thing here is dont drive fast. Flying down the dirt roads is gonna be bad for the truck with or without the kit... and even worse with the kit. Just take it slow and ur fine.
88K5 Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 We just spent the day in the Withlacoochee Forest. Did about 10 miles of trail riding with a 7.5" RC lift. Rode very nice and handle the ruts well to.
mossbum Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 i spend a lot of time on gravel and in fields for work and so far i havent had any problems from my RC leveling kit.
700 sportsman Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 You shouldn't have any issues with the spacer warping, it may add a bit of additional wear to your ball joints, but at 2" or under, it is minimal

I alway thought if you drove fast on a dirt road, you just jumped from high point to high point and the suspension doent have time to droop. Hence, the smoother ride. the reduced traction and steering control are just minor deails.

When i slow over speed bumps you can feel them, but when you go 30-40 mph over them there not that bad
kawtoy_77 Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 no, do it. This. Its not a "Soft & Gentle" leveling kit...... Its ROUGH COUNTRY!
