I'm OK.  Not even a scratch.  The truck is toast though from passenger side to transmission.

I spent most of yesterday on the phone with insurance company.  They are going to take OK care of me financially.

I am thinking about getting my wife something larger than her car (an Accord) and me driving her Accord.

Maybe go a few years without a car payment.

Honestly, I'm kinda depressed about it right now.  In 6 months, I have poured money, lavished attention, and in general taken great effort to take care of 2 trucks.  Six months later, I am right back where I started, except the back pocket is $9k lighter.

"stupid driver"

I know how that feels :)

I've had a driver pull out in front of me on a busy street which caused about 9grand in damage and I had someone t-bone me when driving down a residential area.  After the truck got t-boned I got my car.  For some reason people just can't see a giant red truck.  It must have been a target.  So far so good w/ the car *knock on wood*

Sorry to hear about it though.  I wonder how long you can go for in the accord before you feel the need to get a truck again.  I know I'm missing my truck, but then I just mash the gas pedal, lay some rubber, or hit 95 on the on-ramp and I remember why I got the car instead.

Unfortunately, I don't get much of that in our '96 4cyl Accord :)

I think I am going to try to pay off the mortgage over the next 5 years (that's the plan).  After that, I plan on the latest derivative of the D-Max.

oh yea would the fipk work on my 2000?  How much for it?

The guy hit the truck in the passenger side between the tires.  It buckled the floor, messed up the door, busted the tranny.

He was estimated at 40 mph.  Most of his car went under the truck.

I used the FIPK on my '99 for about 1k miles before I traded it.

I used it on the '02 for 3-4k miles.
